Adding production capacity enables Foxwoods to fill larger orders and improve delivery times
September 4, 2019 – Beresford, NB – Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency
Businesses that are more efficient are able to remain competitive, improve their profitability, and grow the local economy. With support from the Government of Canada, Ébénisterie Foxwoods Millwork is modifying its production line to improve its overall efficiency.
The project will enable the company to respond to increasing demand for large orders and improve its delivery times, while maintaining top-quality customer service. The Government of Canada, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), provided a repayable contribution of $62,500 for this project.
Serge Cormier, Member of Parliament for Acadie-Bathurst, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA, announced this funding today.
The Government of Canada is making smart investments to help small and medium-sized businesses start-up, expand, and modernize. Support for this project is one way the Government of Canada is working to build on the objectives of the Innovation and Skills Plan, a multi-year strategy to create well-paying jobs for the middle class and those working hard to join it.
“Our government is investing to empower communities across the country so Canadians in every region can compete and succeed in the global economy. Today’s investment in Ébénisterie Foxwoods Millwork supports the growth of a company in a rural community, which is critical to continued economic growth and the creation and maintenance of good, middle class jobs for Canadians.”
– The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA
“Ébénisterie Foxwoods Millwork is an important business in our region, providing good jobs for its skilled workers. I would like to congratulate the whole team for adopting efficiencies to remain competitive so this company can continue to provide cost-effective solutions for its clients. These efforts will benefit all of our communities.”
– Serge Cormier, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence and Member of Parliament for Acadie-Bathurst
“Foxwoods Millwork is grateful for the support we have received from ACOA. Without ACOA, our success would not be possible. The new equipment we have installed has enabled us to secure a large contract with a new customer that will keep us busy well into the fall. We are now able to respond to larger orders and faster delivery, all while maintaining the quality millwork our clients have come to expect.”
– Bruno Arseneault, President, Ébénisterie Foxwoods Millwork Inc.
The Government of Canada invested $62,500 in this project through ACOA’s Business Development Program (BDP).
The BDP primarily assists Atlantic Canadian entrepreneurs who want to start a business, increase productivity or improve operations.
