Innovation has become a driver for Atlantic economic growth by helping companies expand their markets and create more high-value jobs. With support from the Government of Canada, Canadian Health Solutions Inc. will develop health assessment tools that will help to digitally transform the health sector.

Canadian Health Solutions Inc. has been offering a unique Modularized Health Assessment (MHA) and consulting services to clients including large insurance companies, private corporations, and workers’ compensation boards, since 2008. The new Objective Medical Assessment Platform (OMAP), once fully developed and implemented, will improve accuracy in diagnosis and treatment, broaden the company’s services to a full clinical model and create up to 13 new jobs. The overall intention of the project is to help specialist physicians with decision-making.

The Government of Canada is providing a repayable contribution of $3 million to support this project.

Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John-Rothesay, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), along with Canadian Health Solution’s President and CEO Dr. David Elias, made the announcement today.

The Government of Canada is making smart investments that create good, middle-class jobs in our country. It is helping Atlantic Canadians develop and bring to market new products and services that lead to market success, help grow strategic sectors, or lead to the creation of research and commercialization partnerships. Support for this project is one way the Government of Canada is working to achieve its Atlantic Growth Strategy outcome of long-term economic prosperity in the region.

“Canadian Health Solutions’ Modularized Health Assessments allow for the analysis of the complete spectrum of information relevant to a patient’s condition. The digitization of this medical information enables CHS to provide the most accurate, detailed and evidence-based diagnoses. These medical opinions facilitate and empower tailored treatment and management plans. Now, Canadian Health Solutions is adding six new offerings to its Modularized Health Assessments enabling rapid, patient-centered care to patients with various conditions. This project will accelerate New Brunswick’s foray into artificial intelligence, particularly within medicine, leading to higher diagnostic accuracy and improved medical outcomes for Canadians.”
