The tenth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development will convene under the theme, ‘Translating Targets into Actions’.

The Forum, organized by the five UN regional commissions and Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, will bring together experts from the energy sector, representatives from governments, UN entities, international organizations and other stakeholders to explore pathways to close the gap between energy targets and actions, and discuss major issues and demonstrate actions to achieve SDG 7 (affordable and clean energy) and meet commitments on climate change mitigation. The Forum will include a series of roundtables, parallel sessions and side events on energy issues such as clean cooking, access to electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency and cleaner use of fossil fuels.

The ninth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development, which took place in Kiev, Ukraine, in November 2018, is summarized here.
