MIL OSI Translation. Mediterranean Region: Portugal – The Government approved, at the Council of Ministers of August 22, the decree amending the regulations applicable to the simplified cadastral information system and the Single Office Building.

“This legislation follows the law of simplified registration throughout the national territory,” recalled the Secretary of State of Justice, Anabela Pedroso, at the press conference after the Council of Ministers in Lisbon.

Noting that “the strategic objective of this project is related to the speeding up of procedures regarding the regulation of a silent rustic building”, the Secretary of State also said that it is concerned “to know better both the rural properties and their respective owners”.

“Similar to the pilot project, which was tested in 10 municipalities, this tool is free for both citizens and public authorities,” added Anabela Pedroso. Among the main advantages of the new diploma are the simplification of the procedure and its dematerialization.

“The One-Stop Shop should serve as an instrument for facilitating and encouraging this procedure,” said the Secretary of State, as “all the information gathered will become available to the Central Administration and the municipalities.”

“The approved diploma is one of the key elements of forest reform and is an integral part of the interior enhancement program as well as the national plan for integrated rural fire management. In a short time, we will be able to have better knowledge of the entire national territory ».
