Press Release

Palmdale, CA – Congresswoman Katie Hill will host a free, family-friendly veterans forum and resource fair on Saturday, August 24 in Palmdale. The forum will include panels discussing an array of topics, a resource fair where veterans of the 25th district can receive information on everything from medical care to career opportunities and transportation, a computer lab where veterans can get help with resumes and other digital needs, and an oral history training for the Veterans History Project.

“Our community in the 25th district is rooted in service and as the daughter and granddaughter of veterans, I’m proud to be working to deliver for the men and women who laid it all on the line for us,” said Hill. “That’s why I’m connecting our veterans with local resources and experts to ensure they have access to the services they deserve. All veterans in our community, regardless of age, gender, and socio-economic standing will be able to take something away from our forum, and we encourage all to join us in a celebration of their service.”

Panel topics include:

  • Housing Resources & Homelessness Prevention
  • Women Veterans
  • VA 101: Navigating the VA
  • Access to Mental Health Care in our Community
