The high increase in the health professions – many in Syria acquired qualifications recognised

WIESBADEN – In the year 2018, nationwide, 36 were recognized 400 acquired abroad vocational qualifications as completely or restricted to be equivalent to a German qualification. As the Federal Statistical office (Destatis) further reports, were the 20 % more recognitions than in the previous year (30 to 200). The clear Plus is designed to benefit the health system: Three-fifths of the increase is based on the recognition of diplomas of health, and nurses and nurses and Doctors ( 3 700). Across all disciplines, Syria was the country in which most of the recognised qualifications acquired.
Recognitions professions, especially in medical health
By a wide margin the most common recognitions were recorded as in previous years, in the medical health professions: 61 % of the recognitions (22 300) originated in the year 2018 from this occupational group (2017: 58 %). Including 10 400 recognitions related to health and nurses and orderlies, as well as 7 200 Doctors, which was granted the permission to the exercise of their profession (licensure). On the places three, four and five recognitions of the countries is legally regulated professions-engineer/-in (2 900), teacher (1 900), and educational/follow-in with 900 recognitions.
Professional qualifications from Syria recognized the most
The training States, with the most common recognised qualifications were Syria (4 800), Bosnia and Herzegovina (3 000), Serbia (2 100) and Poland (2 000). From a regional perspective, recognitions were of the financial statements of the member States of the European Union (11 900) in front, followed by other Europe (11 500), and Asia (10 000).

The information derived from the first fully summarized, evaluated official data, surveys on the basis of the vocational qualifications assessment law (BQFG) of the Federal government and the Länder. These laws regulate the recognition of foreign professional qualifications, the reference for which occupations in Germany are subject to the Federal law or the law of the land.
A Total Of 50 500 Recognition Procedure
Overall, the Bodies responsible for recognition in the edited in the year 2018, around 50 500 recognition procedures, including 39 100 new applications. The were 15% more processed recognition than in the year 2017 (44 000). Three-quarters of the procedures (38 100) documents in the Federal law, a quarter (12 400) the law of the land. Four of the five procedures related to regulated professions (40 600), a fifth non-regulated professions (9 900). Over half (56 %) of the procedures requested by women (28 100).
