Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a burglary in Yarraville on earlier this month.

It is believed unknown offenders forced entry to a secure car park of an apartment building on Gamon Street about around 5am on 5 August.

Once inside, the offenders have broken into a number of storage cages stealing a large amount of property including a box trailer, power tools, surfboards, snowboarding equipment and up to 260 bottles of wine.

Detectives are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.

Investigators have also released CCTV still of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
