The government of Canada committed to invest $ 100 million over 11 years experience in innovation projects in the field of learning and care of young children, starting with $ 10 million over two years by 2018-2019 and 2019-2020.

Project Description : This project will identify and increase innovative approaches and promising that are currently observed in Canada in terms of the learning and care of young children and which could be highlighted to broaden their impact.

Organization : Kathryn Underwood, School of studies on early childhood, Ryerson University
Name of the project : action research Project on the system of inclusive services for early childhood
Amount of funding : 123 979 dollars
Project Description : This project will identify strategies of inclusion that recognize the systemic factors and cultural issues that shape the real context within which the services are offered to children in situation of handicap.

Organization : MaRS Centre for Impact Investing and the JW McConnell Family Foundation
Name of the project : The social finance and models for service providers of ELCC
Funding amount : 139 881 dollars
Project Description : This project will acquire knowledge on models of social finance for the sector the learning and care of young children, improve the ability of the providers of these services to engage in models of social finance, enhance the ability of partnerships within the sector and mobilize funding for social finance.

Organization : ontario Coalition for better education services to the child.
Name of the project : A national network for the innovation in the field of human resources for the learning and care of young children and a decent job
Funding amount : 216,500 usd
Project Description : This project will address the issues of recruitment and retention of personnel for the education and care of young children by bringing together a national network of employers, sector experts, human resource specialists, unions and indigenous representatives to develop and integrate innovative solutions to common challenges inherent in the places of work of the sector to the learning and care of young children.

Organization : Child Care Resource and Research Unit
Name of the project : Production and transfer of knowledge to support innovative approaches to service delivery of ELCC
Funding amount : 131 263 dollars
Project Description : This project will synthesize and consolidate the research and the resources to make tools accessible that can improve the accessibility, affordability, quality and inclusiveness of the learning and care of young children.

Organization : Learning Enrichment Foundation
Name of the project : Improvement of the skills of the staff and the quality of service through improved training and accelerated in early childhood education
Funding amount : 734 805 dollars
Project Description : This project will develop and pilot a training program in early childhood education improved and accelerated to meet the growing demand for early childhood educators, accredited in Ontario
