Source: foreign AmtWenn we are not networked and global the difficult tasks of the next years and decades to tackle, will end up losing all. First of all, the Weakest – at the end, but also the Strong. Without a strong global order, we will not survive.I’m leaving today to New York and Canada, so that we can move forward, first of all, if you have questions, which relate mainly to the Weakest: I will participate under the chairmanship of my Polish counterpart in a meeting of the security Council on the protection of the civilian population in conflicts. Even seventy years after the adoption of the Geneva conventions, protected persons are every day victims of atrocities and arbitrariness. The international community must act in order for the taboo to be a permanent condition.Climate change also carries with it considerable potential for conflict. In order to defuse it, we need a functioning dialogue and a common set of rules – now, before new conflicts ground-breaking. In the Arctic, climate change is progressing quickly, drastic changes in the coming decades can already guess.Alone global problems can not solve. We have therefore proposed, together with Canada, France and the other an Alliance of all those who are committed to the multilateralism and the problems collectively and pragmatically to tackle. With Chrystia Freeland, I want to talk about how we can expand this network and to operationalise.
