Wakefield Council is seeking the public’s views on Newmillerdam Country Park.
Residents are being invited to respond to a questionnaire to find out what they like about the park, any issues they may have with it and if there are any changes they’d like to see.
The results of the survey will go towards preparing a management plan in partnership with the Friends of Newmillerdam Country Park. This will act as a guide for the day to day running of the park and will include an action plan of projects for the next five years.
Cllr Maureen Cummings, Wakefield Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Communities, said: “The views of our residents are always important to us and as regular visitors to Newmillerdam Country Park we want your thoughts on what we are doing right and what we could improve on.
“Our country parks are such an important part of our district and offer fantastic spaces for people and families to enjoy the outdoors.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our residents to get involved and help shape the park over the next five years.”
The survey will start on Monday 19 August and will remain open for seven weeks.
A summary of the responses will be included in the management plan which will be made available on the Newmillerdam Country Park webpage
