The units of the special-purpose compound of the Central Military District, stationed in the Samara Region, were alerted within the framework of a sudden check of the combat readiness of the troops and forces of the district in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander.
The servicemen of the brigade carried out a set of measures, including raising an alarm, getting weapons, ammunition and equipment. Drivers on armored cars “Tigr”, “Typhoon-K” left the fleet of combat vehicles and made a march to a concentration area of about 100 km.
In the designated areas, the scouts will work out tactical actions to combat the subversive groups of the conditional enemy, as well as the tasks to enhance the protection of important state objects in the area of responsibility.
More than 1,5 thousand military personnel of the special-purpose formation take part in the events, more than 300 units of military and special equipment are involved.
On June 24, in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a sudden inspection of the troops and forces of the Central Military District began. The entire military command and control agencies of the Central Military District, part of the troops and forces of the Southern and Eastern Military Districts, separate units of the Airborne Forces, long-range and military transport aviation are brought to the highest level of combat readiness. Some compounds of central subordination are also involved in the check.
The audit is aimed at assessing the ability of the Armed Forces to ensure military security in the Central Asian region, where serious threats of a terrorist nature persist. Another goal of the test is to determine the degree of preparedness of troops and forces for participation in the upcoming major training event of this year – the Center-2019 strategic command and staff exercise.
Tested troops will take part in more than 50 exercises of various sizes. More than 35 polygons are involved. Control measures are envisaged from 24 to 28 June.
