On June 24 of this year, an active phase of the joint international exercise “Slavic Brotherhood-2019” started at the Kovin airfield in Serbia.
The active phase of the exercise was visited by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, Alexander Vulin, who praised the training of Russian, Serbian and Belarusian paratroopers.
“The teachings of the“ Slavic Brotherhood ”have already become traditional, during which the officers of the Special Brigade show that they are able to train on a par with the troops that are considered to be the best in the world. It is important for us to train with armies from which we can learn and adopt the best, improving our tactics, equipment, and, of course, our own skills. ”Said Alexander Vulin in an interview with journalists.
According to the Minister of Defense of Serbia, the “Slavic Brotherhood” is the exercise that showed that the Serbian army is at the level of the best and most trained troops in the world.
“And, of course, it’s not just military exercises, it’s a meeting of fraternal peoples who understand, respect and love each other. The Serbian army and the state authorities of the country take a position of military neutrality, but this does not mean that we cannot build and protect warm friendly relations with the army of Russia and Belarus. The teachings showed that the Serbian Army and the whole country are not alone in this world, we have reliable friends who will not allow the events of twenty years ago to be repeated. We can learn from our friends, and the people who stand behind it deserve the highest respect! ”- stressed the Minister of Defense of Serbia.
In the planned joint Russian-Serbian-Belarusian tactical exercises conducted in the framework of international military cooperation, from 14 to 27 June of this year, more than 600 military personnel from three countries take part.
