The Kuibyshevskiy District Court of the City of Novokuznetsk delivered its verdict in the criminal case brought against a 27-year old resident of the Tomsk Region. He was charged with committing a crime under part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code and part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code “Illegal production, distribution or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues”.
Officers of the Administration for Drug Control of the MIA of Russia GA for the Kemerovo Region received operational information about the involvement of a Tomsk resident in illicit drug trafficking in the territory of Novokuznetsk. The police established surveillance of the suspect. As a result, the offender was detained immediately after he had hidden in caches in a forest area several convolutions with drugs prepared for sale.
In the “caches” that the drug-dealer had made, as well as in the apartment rented by him, the police seized a total of more than 280 grams of the narcotic substance. A forensic study showed that that was a synthetic “salt”. In addition, the police seized from the attacker packaging materials, electronic scales, mobile phones, and bank cards. The suspect became the defendant in a criminal case.
The investigation established that he had received a message in one of the messengers with an offer of illegal income, to which he agreed. For the equipment of the so-called “caches” with the drug, he received remuneration in the form of cryptocurrency. The trafficker purchased batches of “salt” through a network of caches, after which he packed them up into small doses and hid them in the territory of Novokuznetsk.
The court, studied the materials of the criminal case, and found the defendant guilty giving him 9 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a high-security penal colony.
