Interchanges are also being built in the area of the Besedinsky Bridge and on the Volokolamsk Highway.

The denouement at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with the street of General Dorokhov is planned to open to the Day of the city, reported Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow for urban planning and construction.

“To date, we have fully completed 14 junctions; we have three junctions at work – at the intersection of General Dorokhov Street with the Moscow Ring Road, we hope to launch the City Day,” he said.

Reconstruction of the clover-type road junction at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with General Dorokhov Street began in February 2018. It was decided to carry out the works after the construction of the main course of the North-Western Chord was completed due to the increase in the number of vehicles on the corresponding section of the Moscow Ring Road. As a result, the transport accessibility of the Skolkovo Innovation Center will increase. It will also be possible to improve traffic on General Dorokhov Street and ensure comfortable entry and exit of transport from the North-Western Chord to the Moscow Ring Road.

In addition, junctions are being built in the area of the Besedinsky Bridge and on the Volokolamsk Highway. According to the deputy mayor, they surrender ahead of time – not in 2021, but already in the future.

“We have four interchanges in the design – a very important interchange on Lipetskaya Street, on Ostashkovskoye Highway, Verkhniye Polya Street and in the area of Kapotny Street,” added Marat Khusnullin.

Complete reconstruction of the Moscow Ring Road planned to be completed in 2020-2021.
