Visit the gastronomic festival

The 41st gastronomic festival will take place in the courtyard of the Museum of Moscow. This year he received the name Green Food Market. The festival is dedicated to conscious consumption, ways to achieve internal comfort and balance of life.

In the library-reading room named after A.S. Pushkin will spend sightseeing tour. Guests will learn about the creation of the architectural ensemble of the late XVIII – early XIX century, inspect the premises of the first and second floors.

In the library’s museum, visitors will be shown archival photographs of the pre-revolutionary interiors of the house, as they were with its last owners, the merchants of the Mukhins. The guide will also tell about the fate of the other owners of the ensemble and their guests, including such famous people as Vice-Governor of Moscow Timofey Chonzhin, entrepreneur Nikolai Mamontov, the first trustee of the library, the eldest daughter of Alexander Pushkin Maria Hartung.

Watch ballet

Park “Zaryadie” invites viewers to see recording of the ballet “The Nutcracker” staged by the Vienna State Opera (choreography by Rudolf Nureyev, Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov). The show will be held in honor of the 150th anniversary of the famous theater.

A total of three performances from the repertoire of the Vienna Opera will be shown for free on the stage of a large amphitheater for three days. Especially for this, they will build here decorations that resemble a theater building. They will install the screen, which will display the image.

Before the performance, a journalist and author of lectures on the culture of Lyalya Kandaurova will acquaint guests with the history of ballet and tell about the musical life of Vienna a century and a half ago and today.

Park “Zaryadie” invites you to listen to the opera “Woman without a Shadow” Richard Strauss. The broadcast will take place in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Vienna State Opera.

An introductory speech to the audience will be delivered by a journalist and author of lectures on the culture of Lyalya Kandaurova.

The premiere of “Women Without a Shadow” was held on October 10, 1919. To its anniversary, the theater presents a new production of the opera. It will be shown simultaneously in Vienna and Moscow.

In the cinema “Star” will show a surrealistic picture of Rustam Khamdamov “Vocal Parallels”. The show is timed to the 75th anniversary of the director.

The action of the concert film takes place among the yurts in the Kazakh steppes, on ancient ruins and in empty hangars. During the trip, former opera singers find a grand piano and decide to recall the past, performing classical arias. Arias from “Madame Butterfly”, “La Traviata” and “Tosca” are performed by the stars of the Soviet opera Rosa Dzhamanova, Bibigul Tulegenova and the matchless countertenor Eric Kurmangaliyev, disguised as a woman. This concert is led by Renata Litvinova, whose speech is duplicated into Kazakh.

Before the screening, film critic Dmitry Karpyuk will speak with an opening speech.

In the center of Gilyarovsky exhibition “Moscow is jazz”. The exposition is devoted to the history of the development of jazz in the capital from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. Guests can learn about the pioneers of jazz in the USSR – Valentina Parnakh, Alexander Tsfasman and Leonid Utyosov, about the “era of saxophone extension” and the struggle against cosmopolitanism.

Visitors to the Gilyarovsky Center also have the opportunity to listen to collections of the best numbers and to see the cafes where jazz was played – Molodezhnoye, Aelita and Blue Bird. The exposition also introduces the “small ice age” in the history of this musical direction, which lasted from the second half of the 1970s to the first half of the 1980s.

A special place is devoted to the formation of a jazz school in Moscow and the history of two drummers – Vladimir Vasilkov and Anatoly Makurov, who from 2010 to 2013 participated in the international youth festival-competition Drumsfest Russia as members of the jury and leading master classes.
