“Nobody but us!” Was the name of the meeting of combat officers of the Airborne Forces who had performed their duty in different years with cadets of the Pskov branch of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

All combat officers are now veterans actively engaged in patriotic work. For example, Major General Yuri Sosedov, who from 1990 to 1992 headed the 76th Guards Airborne Division (now the Guards Airborne Assault Chernigov Red Banner Division, Order of Suvorov Division), is the chairman of the Veterans Council of this division. The trainees learned from him about the service in South Ossetia and Yugoslavia and asked about the awards on his chest “For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR” and the Order of Saint Sava.

The Chairman of the Pskov Regional Branch Committee of the Russian Union of Veterans, Shamil Akhmetov, told the cadets about his service in Afghanistan in 1987-1989, for which he was awarded three military orders: the Red Banner, the Red Star and the destruction of Pakistani Zvezda II degree helicopters.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Guards Airborne Assault Chernigov Red Banner, Order of the Suvorov Division Sergei Berezovsky – no less legendary person: in the collection of his awards Order of Courage, as well as the Order for Military Merit and For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR , including for the march in Kosovo in 1999. He is also a participant in hostilities in the Chechen Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Two orders of the Red Star Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the 104th Regiment of the 76th Division of Alexander Kokarev also aroused interest among students of the Pskov branch of the academy, with whom he shared his memories of service in Afghanistan, North and South Ossetia.

Note that the meeting of veterans with cadets was organized by the senior teacher of the department of organization of the regime and operational-search activity in the UIS, Major General of the Reserve Vladimir Kireev, who himself passed a serious school of a military officer in the border troops and for services to the Fatherland was awarded the Order of the Red Star, medals “For military merit”, “For the difference in the protection of the state border”, as well as departmental awards. Vladimir Kireev is a member of the Council of Veterans of the Pskov Branch of the Academy, where he is actively engaged in patriotic work.

“A living history is a connection between generations, and thank you very much, veterans, for your high professionalism, dedication to civil and official duty, creative activity and a great sense of responsibility to society, which serve as a vivid example for young people for whom the notions of“ honor ”and“ conscience “should become the fundamental principles of life,” said Dmitry Alekseev, deputy head of the Pskov branch of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, and presented letters of thanks to the veterans for fruitful cooperation with the tionary organization.
