Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Bolaris received today the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See in Greece, Archbishop Savio Tai Fai Hon.
The Nuncio congratulated the Deputy Minister and the Greek Government both for the initiative and the successful organisation of the two-day Conference on religious and ecclesiastical diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs 28/2 – 1/3), stressing that the good will of all religions and dogmas for cooperation was evident. He added that the conference allowed for the free exchange of views and contacts, even on the margins of the sessions, emphasising that the differing views highlighted the necessary collaborations for the promotion of peaceful co-existence of religious groups despite existing differences.
The Nuncio briefed the Deputy Minister on issues related to the structure and organisation of the Catholic Church and expressed its will to continue the collaboration and dialogue that began at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For his part, the Deputy Minister stressed that the initiative is related to the building of bridges of communication, dialogue, and exchange of views and experiences which contribute to and strengthen collaboration in the service of man.
