MIL OSI Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Since the beginning of 2019, seven aerial bombs have been deactivated in the Chechen Republic. The last time the work was carried out on the eve of the Vedeno district.

A dangerous find, which had lain underground for more than 20 years, was found by local residents near the Gums river, three kilometers from the village of Dyshni-Vedeno.

The explosive object was in working condition and could detonate at any time. For its disposal from Rostov-on-Don, the staff of the Don Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry arrived, having many years of experience in cleaning the territories from unexploded ordnance.

A special bomb was transported to the landfill and destroyed.

The operation was carried out in a regular mode in compliance with all the necessary security measures. It involved not only the forces and means of the Chechen Emergency Department, but also the security forces of the region.
