Almaty hosted a meeting of the Prime Ministers of the EAEU countries. They took part in the digitalization forum, and in the afternoon they discussed a number of issues at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council. With the outcome of the meeting, correspondent of the TV channel “MIR 24” Maxim Kozlov.

As the host of the summit, Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev meets his colleagues in the Eurasian Five. The first topic to discuss is digitalization. Kazakhstan has something to talk about. For ten years, the country has successfully established an e-government for citizens system. Thanks to her, Kazakhstanis receive over 700 services without leaving their homes.

E-government should be an inspiration. Today, we have 60% of services rendered electronically, we want to achieve this year’s figure of 80%. People should learn to use other things than those they already know, ”said Kazakh Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev.

Neighboring Kyrgyzstan solves its problems. Now in the republic they plan to connect all schools to the Internet.

“Kyrgyzstan approved and adopted a five-year concept of“ Digital Kyrgyzstan ”for the development of technology start-ups and digital technologies. The main thing is the transition to digital public services, as well as increasing the welfare of citizens through the transition to a digital economy, ”said Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Muhammedkaliy Abylgaziyev.

Becoming a digital exporter of technology on a global scale intends to Armenia. Vice Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said that a whole project is being developed to create an engineering city.

“In this direction we are moving and we will move. The engineering city is a real project, we really approved this project, allocated funding. It will be a serious ecosystem, with serious laboratory positions. Naturally, it will be open to the EEU and all our countries, ”he said.

After the photography ceremony, colleagues from the “Eurasian Five” moved on to the second part of the summit. The meeting of the EEU Intergovernmental Council began. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said: the fact that the work of the Eurasian Five is already bearing fruit is an indisputable fact. In the ten months of last year, intra-union trade grew by almost 12%, mainly due to an increase in the mass of commodities.

“We need to increase mutual trade further, so that the market has more goods that are made in our Eurasian Union. The main goal that we should try to achieve is that there is a good choice, based on the preferences of quality and price, ”said Medvedev.

We talked about the problems. The Prime Minister of Belarus called for the early removal of barriers in mutual trade within the EAEU. Sergei Rumas is sure: the countries of the Union will soon begin the execution of the first joint projects in the digital space.

“The Republic of Belarus stands for the development of the Union’s project activities in the real sector of the economy – in industry, energy, transport and other areas. Relying on joint projects, national governments will rather come to see the EAEU as a truly common market. ” – said Sergey Rumas.

Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan also spoke about the tasks that need to be solved in the near future. Gas transit insideEAEUand customs issues – all this will be discussed by representatives of five countries in the near future.

The meeting resulted in the adoption of technical regulations for the sale of the alcohol market, as well as agreements on shipping and a number of other documents.
