The Parcoursup enrollment procedure, especially for high school students in Terminale, presents a tight schedule for 2019. Discover the dates of the 3 key stages: information and discovery of the trainings – more numerous this year -, seizure of vows and finalization file, training responses and decision-making.

The calendar

Until January 2019Since the opening of Parcoursup’s information website on December 20, 2018, high school students can learn about the progress of the procedure and consult the training available: contents, expectations, job opportunities and the file review criteria.

January 22 – April 3, 2019 Throughout the second term: high school students continue their reflection with their main teachers by participating in the second week of orientation and open days in institutions of higher education;
From January 22 to March 14, 2019: registration on Parcoursup , creation of the candidate file and seizure of the vows (up to 10 wishes with the possibility of under-vows according to the formations) without needing to classify them. No new vows can be made after March 14, 2019;
March: 2nd class council. Each wish formulated by the high school student is the subject of a “Future” form including the assessments of his teachers and the opinion of the school head;
April 3rd: last day to finalize the candidate’s file with the elements requested by the formations and confirm each wish;
April-May: the training institutions examine the wishes formulated by the candidates.

May 15 – July 19, 2019 May 15: Candidates read the responses of the formations on the platform. They receive admission proposals as and when they need to respond within the timeframe indicated by the platform (they will have 5 days from May 15th to May 19th, then 3 days from May 20th);
June 17 to 24, 2019: proceedings are suspended during the written examinations of the baccalaureate;
From June 25 to September 14: opening of the complementary phase to make new wishes if necessary;
July 5: baccalaureate results;
Before July 19th: registration in the formations chosen by the candidates according to the modalities specified on their file.

From May to September 2019 Candidates who have not received a proposal and who wish to find a place in a training offered by Parcoursup will be accompanied. They can ask for advice, individual or collective support, in their school or at the Information and Orientation Center (CIO) to consider other training options, especially if they have received only negative answers. selective training (BTS, IUT, schools, etc.) A complementary phase, from 25 June to 14 September, will make it possible to formulate new wishes and to obtain a proposal for admission to a training course with places available with the possibility of benefiting from the individualized support of the Higher Education Access Commission (CAES) of the Academy.

Among the novelties

Institutional and candidate response phases have been tightened to speed up queues.
3 “step points” will be introduced to accompany each candidate individually and to punctuate the procedure. The first two, which will take place on June 25 and July 6, aim to allow candidates who have not yet accepted a definitive admission proposal to continue their reflection and seek support. Young people will be able to request physical or telephonic appointments with their school’s educational teams or information and guidance centers (CIOs) to help them choose their orientation. The 3rd waypoint will allow the candidates to confirm their choice of registration in the training they have accepted.
Individual and collective interviews will be offered to candidates who received only negative responses (who had therefore only requested selective courses: BTS, IUT or prépas) from mid-May, to help them define a new orientation project.
An “answering machine” will be set up from 25 June, just after the written examinations of the baccalaureate. It will give candidates who still have “waiting” wishes the opportunity to classify them before going on holiday, so that the platform answers in their place to the proposals they will receive.
In addition to being on the waiting list, each candidate will also know the rank of the last student on the waiting list last year, so that he or she can estimate his or her chances on the waiting list. ‘To be taken.
The confidential self-assessment test proposed in 2018 to candidates with a law degree will be extended to 14 scientific licenses to inform them of the knowledge and skills expected in the subject area.

To know :

The number of trainings in 2019 on the platform reaches 14,000 (public and private recognized by the State), with the arrival of the Institutes of Nursing Training (IFSI) and the Institutes of Social Work (IRTS).

In 2020, all courses (including Sciences-Po and Paris-Dauphine University in particular) must be present on the platform.
