January 12, 2019 – Japan will host the inaugural Commission meeting of ministers for the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) on January 19, 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. Media representatives who wish to participate in the event are required to register in advance.

Event: Photo opportunity (off the-top of the inaugural Commission meeting)
Date: Saturday, January 19, 2019
Time: Afternoon Japan Standard Time, will be confirmed by email on January 18
Location: Will be confirmed by email on January 18, 2019 

Event: Ministerial Press conference
Date: Saturday, January 19, 2019
Time: Afternoon Japan Standard Time, will be confirmed by email on January 18 
Location: Will be confirmed by email on January 18

The following information must be provided by e-mail to the Japanese Government Headquarters for the TPP(TPP HQ) by midnight on January 15, 2019 (Japan Standard Time), at this address: touroku-press.tpp.s9g@cas.go.jp

  1. Full name
  2. Name of the media outlet
  3. Type of media (e.g. reporter, photographer, camera operator, etc.)
  4. E-mail address
  5. Mobile phone number (available in Japan)
  6. Photograph (JPEG format, passport quality)

An entrance pass will be issued to those who are registered. Access to the venue of press events will not be possible without the pass. Details of press events and the way media receive the entrance pass will be sent to the registered e-mail addresses on January 18, 2019.
