Fire Weather Warning
for the West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula and Lower South East forecast districts

Issued at 5:58 am CDT on Friday 11 January 2019.

Weather Situation

Hot to very hot and very dry with moderate to fresh northeast to northwest winds, strong in the far west ahead of a fresh and gusty southwest to southerly change moving across the west during the afternoon and evening and the far south in the evening. Areas of raised dust in the far west.

For the rest of Friday 11 January:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast districts:
West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula and Lower South East

The Country Fire Service advises you to:

  • Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
  • Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.cfs.sa.gov.au, and www.bom.gov.au.
  • Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.

No further warnings will be issued for this event, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings issued if necessary.
