Police are appealing for information following a deliberately lit fire at Munno Para Downs over the weekend.

Just after 4pm Saturday 5 January, patrols and CFS crews were called to a property on Field Road after reports of a bushfire.

The fire is believed to have started along the fence line of the property before it destroyed 74 bales of hay which were destined for drought relief.

Investigations have identified a suspicious blue Ford sedan which was parked on Coventry Road outside of Dalkeith CFS station around 4.15pm the same day.  The vehicle, with two men standing next to it (pictured below), had damage to the windscreen, bonnet, front grille and front number plate.

Police are seeking witnesses who were travelling in the vicinity of Coventry Road or Field Road, Munno Para Downs between 4.10pm and 4.30pm on Saturday 5 January and may have seen this vehicle and the two men or may have dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
