The winter sales will begin on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 and will end on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Attention nonetheless, derogatory dates are applied to certain border departments and overseas (except Martinique and Mayotte where the balances are held at same dates as in France).

It is the article D310-15-2 of the commercial code which fixes the general date of beginning of the balances. The winter sales start on the second Wednesday of January, at 8 am, this date being advanced to the first Wednesday of the month when the second Wednesday comes after the 12th of the month.

By exception, some metropolitan departments have different dates.

Winter sales begin on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 and end on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in the following departments:

Meurthe-et-Moselle;
Meuse;
Moselle;
Vosges.

In Overseas, the dates of the winter sales are as follows:

in French Guiana from Wednesday, January 2, 2019 to Tuesday, February 12, 2019;
in Guadeloupe, from Saturday, January 5, 2019 to Friday, February 15, 2019;
in Saint Pierre and Miquelon from Wednesday, January 16, 2019 to Tuesday, February 26, 2019;
in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin from Saturday, May 4th, 2019 to Friday, June 14th, 2019.

In Reunion, the next sales will be the summer sales that will take place from Saturday, February 2, 2019 to Friday, March 15, 2019.

To note :

The dates of the e-commerce or e-commerce balances are aligned with the national dates of the traditional business, regardless of where the company is headquartered.

Warning :

The Bill on Business Growth and Transformation (“Pact”), which was adopted at first reading by the National Assembly on October 9, 2018, includes the reduction of the sales periods to 4 weeks (compared to 6 currently).
