During holidays, the employer must put in place measures to protect employees from the risks associated with isolation.

According to the National Institute of Research and Security (INRS), the isolated worker is in an environment where he can not be heard or seen directly by others and where the probability of visit is low.

This situation is accentuated during the end-of-year holidays and necessitates special arrangements, especially for the organization of relief.

The employer must provide first aid to the injured and to the sick: this supposes the setting up of a communication device in case of need of the isolated employee and a connection with the external emergency help (alarm device allowing to reduce the emergency response time).

In addition, risk prevention is recommended: reduce the duration of isolated work, inform the employee and specify his tasks to avoid actions outside his skills.
