Arriving early in the morning, the EOD specialists conducted an audit of the access path, then cleared, with a machete, 1.5km of track through the woods to allow the transport of the material. After clearing under intense heat, the vehicle was parked at 250m from the sensor. The team made a layout to mount the brushing and detection equipment on a man’s back.
