In Portugal, different associations of ship-owners and fishermen are warning against existing restrictions on undulate ray fishing which they consider unwarranted in view of the abundance of this resource in national waters.

Following previous questions on skate fishing in Portugal (E-000207/2012, E-‑000745/2013), I call on the Commission to provide updated information on this matter, especially concerning the following:
