Schools, colleges, high schools: the Christmas school holidays begin Saturday, December 22, 2018 after the class (students who do not have lessons on Saturday are on holiday from Friday night). Classes will resume next Monday, January 7, 2019.

The Christmas school holidays begin Saturday, December 22, 2018 after the class (students who do not have lessons on Saturday are on holiday from Friday night). Classes will resume next Monday, January 7, 2019.

To know :

The dates of the school holidays depend on the zone where the schools are located, the metropolitan France being divided into 3 academic zones:

zone A includes the academies of Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers;
zone B includes the academies of Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orleans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg;
zone C includes the academies of Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Versailles.

For their part, Corsica and Overseas have specific dates for each academy.
