The maximum amount of the allowance for adults with disabilities (AAH) is now set at € 860 per month (+ 5%) for benefits due from November 2018. This is confirmed by a decree published in the Official Journal of November 3, 2018, which also modifies in parallel the calculation of the ceiling of the resources for the beneficiaries of this allowance in couple.

The purpose of the AAH is to guarantee a minimum income for persons with disabilities so that they can meet the expenses of their daily lives.

The allowance is awarded based on a certain disability rate, subject to residency, age and resource requirements. Its amount varies according to the resources of the disabled person. Thus, a person with no resources can collect the maximum amount of the AAH.

Recall :

The application for allocation must be made to the Departmental House of Disabled Persons (MDPH), which assists the person and informs them of any other rights.
