New trains will go along the lines, the range of movement will be five to six minutes, and the daily technological break will be canceled.
With the launch of the first two directions of Moscow central diameters (IDC), Odintsovo – Lobnya and Nakhabino – Podolsk, almost 900 thousand additional passenger seats will appear in the metropolitan area per day. This was reported in the press service of the city Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
The number of passenger seats will increase due to the purchase of new rolling stock, the introduction of a clock schedule of train movement (every five to six minutes during rush hours), as well as the transfer of technological break from day to night.
The first WDC trains will start testing in December of this year. They will run in on selected night routes without passengers.
The first two diameters will be launched at the end of 2019 – early 2020. On them will go the new urban train “Oriole”. The IDC’s work schedule will be the same as on the metro, from 05:30 to 01:00. A ticketing system has been developed to integrate diameters with the rest of the urban transport. To pay fare passengers can use the card “Troika”.
Central diameters will connect the directions of the Moscow Railway, branches of the metro and the Moscow Central Ring (MTSK). Passengers, including those from the Moscow region, can cross the capital in 40 minutes.
