Only for one day of the festival more than 100 indifferent Muscovites joined the volunteer movement.
12 thousand Muscovites and guests of the capital, more than 70 non-profit organizations (NGOs), 50 master classes, 30 lectures and 100 new volunteers – on the Day of the City there was a festival “Soulful Moscow” in park “Sokolniki”.
“Our festival has become annual, it was held in Moscow for the second time. This year there are more participants and visitors, many bring friends and colleagues. We offered NKO new interesting activities at the festival, we made a lecture hall with workshops and public lectures to acquaint the Muscovites with the best experience of the non-profit sector, “said the organizer of the festival, the director of the Resource Center of NGOs

At the photo exhibition “Faces of sincere Moscow” was introduced to the history and activities of socially significant projects of the city. In the 3D-photo zones the festival guests made memorable photos.
Participants in the team game “The Most Good Quest” taught the basics of sign language, the methods of first aid and the correct treatment of animals. And thanks to the points of virtual reality everyone could feel himself a volunteer of the action “Immortal Regiment”, the park “Zariadye” or the World Cup.
The goal of all activities is one – to talk about the possibility of helping. Only for one day of the festival more than 100 indifferent Muscovites joined the volunteer movement.
“We are working to popularize the activities of non-profit organizations. Today we see the variety of services provided by NGOs to the population: educational services, leisure activities, special services to support people with developmental peculiarities, rehabilitation programs, volunteerism. It is important that our fellow citizens receive more information about such services. This is facilitated by the project “Soulful Moscow”, of which today’s festival is part, “said Maria Ustinova, deputy chairman of the Moscow Public Relations Committee.
Today, the capital has a lot of non-profit organizations. Their representatives help families with many children and people with disabilities, conduct creative activities for children, protect animals and care about preserving the environment.
“Soulful Moscow” Is a project dedicated to the promotion of a culture of mutual aid in the capital. Last year more than 60 NGO’s of the city and about 10 thousand visitors took part in the festival of the same name.
