September 11 in the Far Eastern Fire and Rescue Academy EMERCOM of Russia, first-year cadets took an oath of allegiance to the Motherland and their professional duty. The event was attended by State Secretary-Deputy Minister Alexei Serko, head of the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service EMERCOM of Russia Eduard Chizhikov, representatives of the Primorsky Territory Administration and the city of Vladivostok, veterans of fire protection, relatives of cadets.

This year, 35 young men and 5 girls entered the Far Eastern Fire and Rescue Academy of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia. The cadets have already got acquainted with the daily routine, received uniforms and textbooks, and mastered the first elements of drill training. Tomorrow the boys will sit at their desks, start studying new disciplines.
The Far Eastern Fire and Rescue Academy is a branch of the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, the country’s oldest university. The Academy was opened on March 1, 2013 and is the only university in the region that provides training of qualified personnel for the EMERCOM divisions.
