Disagreeing about trade is part and parcel of international relations. But a trade war’s never the answer. It’s like elephants fighting: the grass gets crushed. When heavyweights battle, it’s the more vulnerable nations that end up taking the hit. And that’s not only unfair. It’s also bad for development.
