V.Putin: Dear Comrade Chairman! Dear friends! I’m very glad to see you all.< >Thank you for responding to our invitation, today we arrived in Russia. Our countries have long, very good relations. This year we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.< >You know that we have always sought to resolve all problems around the Korean peninsula. And in this connection I would like to emphasize that we certainly welcome the contacts that have started between the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the President of the Republic of Korea.< >We also welcome and highly appreciate the results of the meeting of the leader of North Korea, Comrade Kim Chem Yan and President of the United States of America, Mr. Trump, which was held recently, on June 12. We proceed from the fact that this is certainly only the first step towards a full-scale settlement, but thanks to the goodwill of both leaders, this step has been taken. Of course, this creates the conditions for further advance and reduces the overall level of tension around the Korean peninsula.< >This worried the whole world, because it could lead to very serious consequences, up to a major military conflict. Thanks to this meeting, a possible unfavorable scenario is postponed. On the contrary, there appeared prospects for settling the problems by peaceful political and diplomatic means.< >Russia has always acted for this, taken the necessary steps for this. We are further ready to act in the same direction and together with you to take the necessary actions to establish contacts, including in the sphere of economic cooperation.< >I want to confirm and ask to convey to Comrade Kim, leader of North Korea, Than Yonu our invitation to visit Russia, including this could be done within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok in September this year. We can do this separately, and we can agree on this meeting outside the framework of international developments through the ministries of foreign affairs.< >Glad to see you. Welcome!< >To be continued.
