Boroondara Vehicle Crime Team members are investigating the theft of a rare $120,000 Mustang from a secure car park in Balwyn last week.
A thief/thieves broke into the Belmore Road car park and stole the 1969 Ford Mustang Super Cobra Jet in the early hours of Thursday 7 June.
The thief/thieves also stole a safe containing a number of documents.
It’s not known whether the car was driven from the scene or whether it was put onto a trailer and towed away.
Police have released images of the stolen car in the hope that a member of the public spots it.
The coral and black Mustang has car club permit plates 82446H.
