Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after stolen credit cards were used to purchase Lego in Camberwell.
The burglar entered the garage of a Trafalgar Road home and a stole a wallet from a car about 5am on 25 February.
Later that day the thief used the stolen credit cards to purchase a number of items, including Lego, around the Camberwell and Forest Hill areas.
The offender returned to the same address on 8 May and 1 June, attempting to break into the same address however was unsuccessful.
Investigators have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 50s, with short, thin shoulder-length brown hair and a prominent nose.
He was wearing a black jacket, dark pants, black beanie and black sunglasses.
