Frankston Embona detectives have charged a 21-year-old man following an alleged attempted carjacking in Frankston last night.
The South Dudley man has been charged with attempted carjacking, two counts of attempted armed robbery, possess controlled weapon (knife), assault-related offences and three counts of commit indictable offence while on bail.
He appeared by Frankston Magistrates’ Court via video link this afternoon where he was remanded in custody to reappear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
The charges relate to an alleged attempted carjacking on Ashleigh Avenue about 8pm where an off-duty policeman arrested a man at the scene.
The victims, aged 82 and 67 years from Frankston, were not injured.
