The Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, through its Sesotho Literature Museum (SLM), will host SLM in Dialogue 8 in a consultative workshop format. The theme for this 8th dialogue is: “Bongodi ba Sesotho kajeno (Sesotho Literature today)”. SLM in Dialogue 8 aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. Monitor and follow up on the developments made and resolutions taken in the previous seven (7) Dialogues.
2. Engage and discuss how Sesotho writing and Literature has developed since the era of iconic authors.

This consultative workshop will benefit writers to write from an informed, researched point of view, thereby using appropriate Sesotho language, and how the quality of writing in the past can positively influence, their current writings.

The SLM in Dialogue 8 will be hosted as follows:

Venue: Mmabana Theatre, Thaba Nchu
Time: 09h00-15h00

Delivering her 2017/18 Budget Vote, MEC Mathabo Leeto stated that, “Through the procurement spent on books and other library materials we will continue to ensure that black publishers have a stake in the economy of our country and Province.”
