June 6, 2017 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Western Economic Diversification Canada 

Indigenous communities across Canada and businesses from all sectors are coming together for a chance to ignite business opportunities with new and innovative market players. The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Western Economic Diversification Canada, announced funding of $20,000 for the Saskatchewan Indian Equity Foundation Inc. (SIEF) to deliver two Aboriginal Business Match (ABM) events in Saskatchewan.

ABM Spotlight: Agriculture & Manufacturing will connect community, national, and international decision-makers interested in building a more competitive business environment and tapping into critical market intelligence. ABM Spotlight events facilitate business meetings between Indigenous and non-Indigenous companies and community organizations across all sectors, including innovative agriculture development and state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies. Business-ready opportunities range from joint ventures in crop and livestock production to machinery manufacturing, transportation, industrial equipment training programs, as well as partnerships in the aerospace and defence sector.

With a focus on trending industries of pronounced interest, ABM Spotlight events offer productive business matching important to Indigenous communities, key stakeholders, and industry partners.
