In January 2012, Staff Sgt. Nicholas Worley, a 23rd Civil Engineer Squadron electrical systems craftsman, was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia, an uncommon form of blood-cell cancer that starts in the blood-forming bone marrow cells.
