Headline: Ambassador Qin Jian Presents Credentials to H.E. President of Somalia
On 15th April 2017, H.E. Mr. Qin Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, presented Credentials to H.E. Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, President of Somalia.
Ambassador Qin conveyed cordial greetings and good wishes from H.E. President Xi Jinping of China to President Mohamed. He spoke highly of the profound traditional friendship between China and Somalia, and reiterated that China would continue to give assistance to Somalia’s peace and reconstruction process. He said he would exert efforts for the further promotion of bilateral relations, and wished China-Somalia friendship evergreen.
President Mohamed warmly welcomed Ambassador Qin’s arrival, and asked the Ambassador to convey his best regards to H.E. President Xi Jinping. He sang high praise for the cordial relationship between the two countries, expressed appreciation to the valuable support of China to Somalia over the years, and wished further progress of bilateral cooperation.
At the meeting, Ambassador Qin presented Xi Jinping on Governance to H.E. President Mohamed.
On the same day, Ambassador Qin presented the copy of Credentials to H.E. Mr. Abudulkadir Ahmed Khayre Abdi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia. Ambassador Qin arrived in Mogadishu on 16th March 2017.
